On June 13, 1981, I SALONISTI played their first concert, at the Mühle Hunziken. But the Stadttheater Bern soon became the venue for the quintet's annual guest performances. The first concert, "Tangos argentinos", took place there on November 11, 1984. Thanks to the then first violinist, Daniel Zisman, and the bandoneonist Oscar Guidi, I SALONISTI made a name for themselves as an outstanding tango ensemble. The recordings of this repertoire caused a sensation. In the following years, the ensemble played countless concerts at home and abroad. In 2021, after 40 years, Béla Szedlák and Lorenz Hasler decided to hand over the bow to a younger generation.
